Vango Stanford 800 Tent Package 2015

For the last 10 years Vango have led the way with this style of tent going back to the Yukon and Tigris to more recent versions like the Icarus and Hampton. For 2015 they have changed the name once again to the Stanford but the quality and design remain largely the same. Only five main hoop poles (all colour coded) are required to pitch these large family tents and thus they only take about 30 minutes to erect. Th small porch pole over one of the doors provides protection from the elements when entering/exiting your tent but the optional side awning is a very handy addition as this provides much needed space for outdoor equipment.

 

The design of this tent will probably exist forever as it is unrivalled when you compare space, pitch time, size, berth against cost. The 8 person version is by far the most popular as for only a little bit extra cost you get the facility of four bedrooms instead of the two with the 600. This makes this tent better if you have a larger family or if you need separate bedroom space for children of different sexes or ages. A real family favourite and a great way to start your camping experience - would recommend the side awning as an extra though!
